Audio and personal information

Tanpura Lab plays bundled recordings and processes its sound on your device. It does not use your microphone, record you, require an account, or access your contacts, photos or location. The app does not send your audio, presets or device identifiers to Nightlight Studios or an app analytics service.

There are no advertising, tracking, advertising identifiers or third-party analytics services in the app. Nightlight Studios does not sell personal information through Tanpura Lab.

Presets stored on your device

Preset names, selected recordings and instrument settings are saved in the app's local storage. They are used to restore your saved sounds. Tanpura Lab has no developer-operated cloud sync or upload service. Your device's backup settings may include app data in backups managed by Apple.

Deleting the app removes its local app data. Copies in device backups are managed through your Apple backup settings. Do not include private information in a preset name if you do not want it displayed on the device.

Playback information and Apple services

The app provides the current preset name and recording note/tuning to Apple's on-device playback interface where supported. This lets the system describe the current sound. Background audio and headphone controls use the device's normal audio services.

App Store, TestFlight, device backup and optional diagnostic sharing are provided by Apple under Apple's policies and your device settings. If you submit TestFlight feedback or share diagnostics, Apple may make that feedback or diagnostic information available to the developer. The app does not include a separate crash-reporting or analytics service.

Links and support messages

Contact, sample-source and software-credit links open the selected email service or website. Those services have their own privacy practices. Opening a link does not cause Tanpura Lab to upload your presets or audio.

If you choose to email Nightlight Studios, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond to your request. Please include only information needed for support. You can use the support address to ask about your correspondence.

Changes and contact

This policy describes the current app. If its data handling changes, the policy will be updated with a new date. For privacy or support questions, email nightlightstudios.apps@gmail.com.

This website and correspondence

The policy above describes the app. Delivery of this page through a web host is separate from the app's on-device processing. See the website privacy information for hosting and email details.

Support messages are handled through the studio's Gmail account, which the owner manages. Correspondence may be retained. Deleting Tanpura Lab removes its local app data, not correspondence you sent separately. You can email nightlightstudios.apps@gmail.com to ask about correspondence, request access, correction or deletion, or ask us to stop further optional correspondence. The owner reviews these requests, including whether any information needs to be retained to meet legitimate obligations.
